Supplier Code of Conduct

Design Ready Controls, Inc. (“DRC”) is committed to the highest standards of environmental responsibility and worker safety and to treating our workers with dignity and respect. We believe it is wholly appropriate to hold our suppliers to the same commitments.

Design Ready Controls, Inc. suggests that our first-tier suppliers use this Code or a similar written commitment toward their own environmental and social supply chain management initiatives.

This Supplier Code of Conduct, consistent with our Social Responsibility Principles, is modeled on and contains language from the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC) and the United Nations Global Compact.

Requirements

DRC’s suppliers will agree in writing to comply with the following required principles or to provide DRC with a similar written commitment:

  1. ETHICS/CORRUPTION
Suppliers will not engage in corruption, including extortion and bribery.
  2. WORKER RESPECT AND DIGNITY
Suppliers will not subject workers to harassment, intimidation, physical or mental abuse or corporal discipline.
  3. DISCRIMINATION
Suppliers will uphold equal employment opportunities and refrain from employment discrimination in any form unless national law expressly provides for selection criteria. Employment discrimination based on gender, race, national origin, religion, age, or sexual orientation is not acceptable.
  4. CHILD LABOR
Suppliers will not support or use child labor, which means anyone:
    • Under the minimum age regulated within the country/region; or
    • Under 15 years (or 14 when law permits); or
    • Under the age of completing required education when the work interferes with
    completing required education;
    Whichever is more restrictive.
  5. OPEN COMMUNICATION
Workers will be allowed to communicate openly with management regarding working conditions without the fear of retribution or intimidation.
  6. LABOR COMPENSATION AND REST
Suppliers will not support or use any forms of forced or compulsory labor. Workers will be allowed rest and compensation in compliance with all applicable rest and wage laws. When wage laws do not exist, workers will be compensated so that they can, at a minimum, meet their basic needs.
  7. WORKER SAFETY
Workers will be provided with safe workplaces that meet, at minimum, applicable country/regional regulations and protect the worker’s health and well-being.
  8. ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE
Suppliers will achieve environmental compliance with applicable environmental regulations, including air, water, and land use and disposal regulations.
  9. CONFLICT MATERIALS
By acceptance of this Purchase Order, you are verifying that none of the products (parts) provided contain any 3TG minerals and that the company is in compliance with CMRT requirements.

Recommendations

Design Ready Controls, Inc. recommends that its suppliers follow these industry best management practices:

  1. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
Suppliers should manage their activities, products and services in an effort to reduce environmental impacts to the environment, including emergency planning, the prevention or pollution, and reduced consumption of natural resources.
  2. EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Suppliers should identify and minimize the threat of emergencies. Suppliers should minimize the potential for injuries and illness by providing adequate egress, developing emergency response procedures, testing/drilling of egress and response plans, and providing necessary medical attention.
  3. DESIGN FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Suppliers should support the design and development of manufacturing processes and products that reduce environmental impact. Suppliers will adhere to all applicable laws.
