School/Degree: University of Minnesota | Major in Marketing

Internship: Marketing Intern

I’m from Andover, Minnesota, and currently pursuing my degree in Marketing at the University of Minnesota. Outside of work and school, I enjoy going for walks, spending time on the water, shopping, and being with my friends and family.

A Summer of Connection and Creativity

This internship has given me the chance to explore the many sides of marketing while working with people across Design Ready Controls, Design Ready Fabrication and EarthScout. From creating content and supporting company communications, to helping coordinate events and campaigns, every project has brought a new opportunity to learn. I’ve especially enjoyed creating content that connects people across the organization, whether through employee stories, event promotion, or sharing the stories behind the work we do.

Creating With Purpose

One of the most meaningful parts of my experience has been having the freedom to take ownership of my projects. I’ve learned how much thought goes into creating content that is useful, engaging, and true to the company’s message. Working across the different company brands, audiences, and platforms has also helped me become more confident in adapting ideas and finding creative ways to communicate.

The People Make the Experience

What has stood out most to me is how welcoming the Design Ready Controls team has been. I quickly felt comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and learning from the people around me. I’ve also loved getting to know the other interns through company events and interviews. Hearing about their experiences, career goals, and projects has helped me build connections while giving me an even greater appreciation for the range of talent across the company.

Growing With Guidance

I’m especially grateful for the support and guidance I’ve received from my manager, Amanda. Her inspiring work ethic, creativity, and positive energy have made work feel exciting and purposeful throughout my internship. Watching how she leads projects, supports the team, and brings enthusiasm to each day has taught me a lot about the kind of professional I hope to become. Her encouragement has helped me feel confident taking initiative, learning through feedback, and continuing to grow with every project.

What’s Next

After the summer, I’ll continue working part-time at Design Ready Controls as a Marketing Specialist while completing my degree at the University of Minnesota. I’m excited to keep building on what I’ve learned, continue creating meaningful content, and see where my career in marketing takes me next.
