Recap: 2026 Control Panel Technology Expo
Earlier this month, Design Ready Controls hosted our second annual Control Panel Technology Expo, Innovation, Collaboration, and Excellence at the Frozen Edge. The mission of the expo is simple: to connect our customers, suppliers, and team members through innovation and collaboration in pursuit of excellence.
The Expo kicked off with lunch and a welcome message, then moved straight into active engagement on the manufacturing floor with supplier booths and opportunities to meet the Design Ready Controls team. The Expo layout and agenda were built to create meaningful conversations about new technologies, application challenges, and opportunities to further improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Introducing the Fabricated Metal Experience
New to this year’s Expo was the Fabricated Metal Experience, designed to highlight the newest addition to Design Ready Companies: Design Ready Fabrication. This gave attendees the opportunity to tour the facility, meet the metal experts and learn about the Design Ready Fabrication machines, technology, and processes. A direct example of Design Ready Fabrication’s metal fabrication capabilities, integrated with Design Ready Controls, control panel manufacturing.
Continuing Connections Beyond the Production Floor
The Expo did not end at the facility doors. The next day, we traveled north to Lake Mille Lacs, to experience a true Minnesota winter—on the frozen edge, ice fishing. This setting provided a fun environment to continue conversations, strengthen relationships, and enjoy a unique local experience together.
