Internship: Marketing Intern
I am from Lino Lakes, Minnesota, and will be a senior at Bethel University, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Business with concentrations in Marketing and Finance. I plan to graduate in May 2026. At Bethel, I enjoy leading the business club and serving as a teacher’s assistant. Outside of school and work, I love spending time at the cabin, wake surfing, walking, yoga, and traveling.

Hands-On Learning and Exciting Opportunities
I chose to intern at Design Ready Controls because of all the great things I had heard about the company and the opportunities available here. The chance to gain hands-on experience right away was especially appealing. I was excited to work in marketing and to learn more about what it means to market within the manufacturing industry—an area that has always interested me and one I was eager to explore further.
Empowered to Learn and Grow at Design Ready Controls
The culture at Design Ready Controls is honestly fantastic. The whole team is super supportive of collaboration and growth, which makes a huge difference when you’re an intern. People genuinely look out for each other—teams are always willing to share knowledge, offer help, and celebrate your wins. I really appreciate that innovation is a core value here; everyone’s open to new ideas and encourages asking questions. On top of that, I’ve loved getting hands-on experience with my projects. Being able to take initiative and own my work has been really rewarding. I’ve learned so much during my time here!
Grateful for Growth
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue my career in marketing—a field full of endless opportunities to grow and learn. This internship has given me valuable experience in social media management, content and campaign creation, event planning, and internal communications. I’m really grateful to Amanda and the whole team for their guidance and support, they’ve taught me so much along the way.
Highlights from Summer 2025
There are so many highlights, it’s hard to choose just one! I’d say I especially love the communications aspect. I’ve really enjoyed interacting with all the interns, interviewing everyone, and writing about their experiences. I also loved creating a new campaign for social media. That is a super rewarding project that I look forward to watching takeoff!
Looking Ahead
After this summer, I’ll return to Bethel University for my final year to complete my degree. I am also excited to continue my work here at Design Ready Controls in marketing! I am passionate about the industry so cannot wait to continue growing and learning more here. In addition, I will serve as a teacher’s assistant and help lead the business club on campus.
